The PulseTech® Xtreme Charge® XCR-20 Recovery Charger is a 16-Amp shop charger and desulfator built to recover any type of 12-Volt lead-acid battery (VRLA, AGM, gel and flooded cell) anywhere in the world allowing you to recover batteries previously thought dead or useless. Our patented Pulse Technology reduces sulfation build-up on the battery plates resulting in improved battery performance and extended battery life.

Self-enclosed in a convenient, water-resistant heavy-duty case, this 12-volt battery recovery charger desulfator is portable and easy to store. Heavy-duty battery clamps are replaceable.

16-AMP SHOP CHARGER BUILT TO RECOVER BATTERIES

If you service vehicles or equipment with larger, expensive batteries including those in groups 31, 4-D and 8-D, you need the state-of-the-art Xtreme Recovery Charger. Finally it’s possible to recover heavily discharged and sulfated batteries you may think are dead or useless. Avoid premature replacement costs and save money by making your existing batteries last longer and perform more efficiently. Its unique design allows the XCR to be operated both in the shop on batteries that have been removed from equipment and on batteries still installed in equipment, reducing man hours required to pull and then reinstall batteries.

Prior to charging, the red TEST LED will be lit while the charger tests the battery and a separate red LED will indicate whether the battery is bad and not recoverable. During the bulk and saturation charging process, the microprocessor controlled circuitry will provide all the charge the battery will accept regardless of the Amp-hour capacity or rated cold cranking Amps. The XCR will charge to the battery’s optimum level by constantly monitoring the battery and adjusting the charging current accordingly. LEDs will show the battery’s state of charge at 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. When the charge is complete as indicated by the 100% green LED, the charger will provide a float charge to maintain the battery at 100%.

During the bulk, saturation and float charging stages, the Xtreme Recovery introduces a high frequency pulse mode to remove sulfate deposits from the battery’s plates, increasing the battery’s ability to accept, store and release energy and extending battery life up to 3 times. The green pulsing lights will flash in sequence during this process.
