A battery charger and a battery maintainer are related, but they solve different problems. A charger is mainly used to bring a flat or low battery back up. A maintainer is mainly used to keep a healthy battery charged while a vehicle or piece of equipment sits unused. Choose a battery charger if the battery is flat, low or needs to be recharged after use. Choose a battery maintainer if the vehicle is stored, driven occasionally or likely to sit for weeks at a time. Choose a recovery charger if the battery is deeply discharged or may need a more recovery-focused approach. The safest way to choose is to start with the problem: recharge, maintain or recover. If you are unsure what state the battery is in, test first.
Charger - for recharging low or flat batteries.
Maintainer - for storage and long-term readiness.
Solar maintainer - for off-grid or outdoor storage.
